Lonely Planet Peru Site — A nice introduction to Peru featuring basic facts, figures, and travel information. National Geographic Peru information
National Geographic Peru — Includes information and links about music, crafts and stories about recent archaeological finds (from NGS sponsored research projects)
U.S. Department of State Consular Information Sheet — Information on Peru from the U.S. government, includes entry requirements, relevant laws (drug penalties, adoptions) and warnings about crime.
Peru - A Country Study Site — This is an on line, searchable version of the book Peru A Country Study from the U.S. Library of Congress (the is recommended on the Travel and guidebooks page of this website). This is a detailed source of information up through the early 1990's.
South American Explorers Club — A great source of information and travel sources by and for those who've been bitten a little bit more seriously by the South American travel bug. This site features a book catalog, as well as travel advisories and other useful information.
Andean Travel Web — Good source of practical travel information for Cusco and the Inca Trail, as well as ideas for how to help rural and poorer communities in that area.
Go2Peru.com — The official government/chamber of commerce travel website. Although the English is a little funny and the travel companies are variable it has a lot of basic information (current temperatures and basic statistics on each town, etc) and a lot of photographs.
Kayak.com — my current personal favorite for cheap flightsto Peru.
